Create Little Rock 

On Thursday, January 28, 2010, after more than six months of planning, Create Little Rock, the Little Rock Regional Chamber's talent and young professionals initiative, launched with 435 members and guests at the Mosaic Templars Cultural Center Ballroom.

Economic development is now a talent war. In the past, business attracted people. Today, people attract business. Create Little Rock's sole purpose is to keep, attract and grow a talented, creative and competitive workforce to enhance the economic development of Little Rock and the region.

Create Little Rock is presented in partnership with Baptist Health, Pulaski Technical College, University of Arkansas at Little Rock College of Business, and Xerox of Arkansas. 2011-12 sponsorship marketing opportunities are available by contacting Gary Newton, 377.6007.

The group is led by an elected steering committee of Chamber member business/organization representatives, including:

After a successful first year, membership has opened for 2011. With 63 founding members, Create Little Rock ended 2010 with 195 members. While the group benefits the economic development of the region, individual member benefits include:

  • Free admission to many Create Little Rock events, including, but not limited to Little Rock 101, Serve the Rock, Clinton School Reception, Quarterly Meetings/Receptions
  • Members-only reduced admission to many Create Little Rock events, including, but not limited to Tours, Talent Awards, Grad Student Event, Intern/Clerk Initiative Events, Other Special Events
  • Latest information on region's issues, events and opportunities of interest to young professionals
  • Opportunity to record :30 second I Create Little Rock video for group's YouTube series
  • Opportunity to forge and deepen personal and business relationships among members
  • Opportunity to champion ideas to reality by partnering with like-visioned members
  • Opportunity to have purpose-supporting successes showcased
  • Access to leadership and management of Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce
