Leadership Greater Little Rock
Since 1985, Leadership Greater Little Rock has graduated over 1,300 community leaders, including a future secretary of state, president pro tempore of the senate, Adjutant General of the Arkansas National Guard, two university presidents, and three Chamber chairmen.
Each year, around 50 class members are selected from hundreds of applicants to participate in the nine-month program. One day a month, October through June, the class meets at a different Central Arkansas venue to explore topics through expert speakers, panelists, tours and group presentations. Sessions include:
- History
- Community
- Education
- Government & Politics
- Criminal Justice & Public Safety
- Health Care
- Military
- Economic Development
- Quality of Life
Application is required (April through June), and there are strict time commitments of at least one full day per month. Annual tuition is $1,800, with full and partial scholarships available based on need.
