Leadership Greater Little Rock
Since 1985, Leadership Greater Little Rock has graduated over 1,400 community leaders, including a future secretary of state, president pro tempore of the senate, Adjutant General of the Arkansas National Guard, two university presidents, four Chamber chairmen, and a federal judge.
Each year, around 50 class members are selected from hundreds of applicants to participate in the nine-month program. One day a month, October through June, the class meets at a different Central Arkansas venue to explore topics through expert speakers, panelists, tours and group presentations. Sessions include:
- Government & Politics
- Criminal Justice & Public Safety
- Health Care
- Economic Development
- Quality of Life
Application is required (April through June), and there are strict time commitments of at least one full day per month. Annual tuition is $1,800, with full and partial scholarships available based on need.
