CenterPoint Energy's natural gas distribution business operates in six states, including Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Minnesota, Mississippi and Texas. With 11,472 miles of natural gas main and service lines, CenterPoint Energy delivers approximately 376 billion cubic feet of natural gas to 3.2 million residential, commercial and industrial customers.

In Arkansas, CenterPoint Energy serves over 400,000 customers and has approximately 600 employees. To improve reliability and safety, the company is currently undertaking a 30-year period to protect and update the underground pipe in Arkansas by replacing approximately 1,700 miles of cast iron and bare steel pipe with modern plastic pipe.
