Through Arkansas Investigations' (Member Since 2005) involvement in the Chamber's Leads Groups 2 - Pinnacle, the company is used to getting leads and business from member businesses/organizations. However, Michael West and Stacy Lynch never anticipated they would be called upon to help solve a mid-day, work-week crime on the Chamber's property.

On Wednesday, December 2nd, at approximately 1:15 pm, a blue, late model Ford pickup truck was travelling on La Harpe when it jumped the curb, left the road and landed in the Chamber's parking lot, crashing into the vehicle of a member of the Chamber's professional staff.

A Chamber member witnessed the accident and left his vehicle to make sure the driver was okay. When he saw that he was, but that there was substantial damage to the staff members' vehicle and Chamber property, he suggested that the driver pull into the Chamber's parking lot. Meanwhile, other volunteers and members of the staff had been drawn to the Chamber's north windows to see what had happened.

The offending driver returned to his truck, but instead of pulling into the Chamber lot as suggested, spun his tires in the Chamber's flower bed and sped away. Meanwhile, an alert member of the staff and volunteer member of the Chamber's Leads Group 3 - Top of the Rock ran from the building's east and south exits in time to both get the license plate number of the fleeing vehicle before it turned from view onto onto the I-30 on-ramp.

911 was called, and a description of the incident, vehicle, suspect and license plate number, thought to be from Texas, were given to the dispatcher.

A few hours later, an officer arrived on the scene to investigate and make a report. By Friday, the plate number had not been matched. That's when it was suggested that a call be placed to Arkansas Investigations.

In less than five minutes, the company matched the plate registration in Arkansas, rather than Texas, to a blue 2008 Ford Pickup and a photo of the owner matching the description of witnesses. An address and phone number were also provided. All information was then turned over to the Little Rock Police and the staff members' insurance company.

The vehicle damage was estimated at over $4,400, while the Chamber's property damage has yet to be assessed.

Even though the suspect is potentially a public figure, because he has not been convicted, his name has been withheld. However, thanks to the actions of a Good Samaritan witness, a quick-thinking volunteer and staff member, and Stacy Lynch and Michael West of Arkansas Investigations, he'll soon have some explaining to do.
