As part of its mission to develop talent for Little Rock and the region, Create Little Rock will host its second Little Rock 101, presented by the City of Little Rock, on Friday, August 27th, from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm at the Chamber.
For the first time, the event will be presented free of charge (with a reservation) to members of Create Little Rock.
Back by popular demand and presented as a day-long, executive version of the Chamber's popular Leadership Greater Little Rock, Little Rock 101 will feature hour-long segments which mirror day-long sessions of Leadership and feature: 1) History, 2) Community, 3) Education, 4) Government & Public Safety, 5) Quality of Life and 6) Economic Development.
The session will be geared Create Little Rock members and others desiring a deeper understanding of their community, relocating professionals and their partners needing an orientation, and alumni of Leadership Greater Little Rock wanting a refresher. It is also intended to develop applicants for the year-long Leadership program.
The introductory tuition for the day, which will include a continental breakfast catered by Ben E. Keith Foods, lunch and a brief reception immediately following, catered by Daddy's Deli and Catering, will be free for members of Create Little Rock and $35 for others. After this first year, tuition is anticipated to increase significantly.
