In addition to being Arkansas’ capital, Little Rock is also the seat of Pulaski County government. In fact our county courthouse is just a block away from Little Rock City Hall.

State and federal government are the largest employers in the region with 28,100 and 9,400 employees, respectively. Additionally, the county’s three public school districts employ 7,868.

Little Rock Air Force Base employs around 4,500 military and civilian personnel, and that number is scheduled to grow with the implementation of the BRAC Commission recommendations.
