New, Available Commercial, Residential Space Fulfills Variety of Needs

Available Office, Commercial and Industrial Buildings
There are a number of available buildings in the metropolitan area that can be utilized for office centers, warehousing operations and commercial and/or light-to-medium manufacturing operations. Sizes range up to 250,000 square feet. Detailed information on available buildings can be obtained from the Economic Development Department of the Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Housing
The Little Rock/North Little Rock MSA has an abundance of quality, low-cost housing. According to the 2000 Census, there are 250,255 housing units in the MSA. The Little Rock/North Little Rock MSA’s housing index for the first quarter of 2006 was 78.5 according to the ACCRA Cost of Living Index (100.0 is the national average). Houses may range from as low as $50,000 to as high as $500,000 and up in the more prestigious areas. According to the Arkansas Realtors Association, the average sales price for single family residential home in Pulaski County for January through April of 2006 was $169,853 up just 5.46% for the same time period in 2005. For this time period in 2005, there have been 1,688 single family residential units sold, down 4.63% from that same period in 2005.

Apartment Development
Apartments range from efficiency to luxury and garden-style to high-rise or studio-loft, all with a varied price range. There are 25,877 units in Pulaski County area. There are 45 complexes with 200 or more units and over 100 with more than 100 individual units. Monthly rental costs average from $550 for a one-bedroom unit to $680 for a two-bedroom unit.

Office Development in Region Continues Tremendous Progress
A recent survey indicates a total of almost 12 million available square feet of office space for lease.
