Two FinTech Announcements Celebrated in October

Little Rock celebrated two FinTech announcements in October.

On October 25, Gas Pos, a new technology platform for the fuel business, announced that it has relocated its headquarters to North Little Rock from Birmingham, Alabama. As part of the relocation, the company will create 30 high-paying jobs over the next two years. Gas Pos is a graduate of the 2018 Venture Center FinTech Accelerator Powered by FIS and is the sixth company to relocate to the Metro Little Rock area upon completion of the VC FinTech Accelerator.

On October 31, the Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA) announced it is partnering with the Venture Center to launch the ICBA ThinkTech Accelerator, a community bank-focused fintech accelerator program. The first-of-its-kind fintech accelerator will provide an outlet for community banks to directly engage and partner with early-stage fintech companies focusing exclusively on community bank product development. Over 75 applications have been submitted for the accelerator that will be held at the Venture Center’s location at the Little Rock Tech Park. Little Rock is now home to two fintech accelerators including the ThinkTech Accelerator and the FinTech Accelerator Powered by FIS.
