With its central location and comprehensive transportation infrastructure, Little Rock is home to a number of distribution and logistics companies. The region offers an intermodal network including interstates with direct access to I-40 (California to North Carolina) and I-30 (Little Rock to Dallas, Houston, and Mexico), air with Bill & Hillary Clinton National Airport, water with the Port of Little Rock, which is on the Arkansas River, and two Class 1 railroads, UP and BNSF. The North Little Rock locomotive overhaul and maintenance facilities are the largest of their kind on the Union Pacific Railroad and among the largest in the world.
